TAIM WESER will show its experience in the furniture industry at FIMMA (Brazil). Through Brazilian subsidiary TAIM CADE DO BRASIL, TAIM WESER will attend the 9th FIMMA Fair in Rio Grande de Soul, Brazil. The 9th FIMMA, or Feria Internacional de Máquinas, Materias primas y Accesorios para la Industria del Mueble (International Machines, Raw Material and Accessories for the Furniture Industry Fair) will run from 23 to 25 March. It will be held at the Bento Gonçalves Events Centre in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, one of the main centres for the furniture industry in the country. The exhibition will take place in an area measuring more than 57,000 m2, indoors and climate controlled, where you can visit more than 600 exhibitors from all around the globe.

At this Fair, one of the world’s biggest trade fair in the furniture industry, TAIM CADE DO BRASIL will be in Pabellón B, stand nº 473. At this 22.5 m2 stand, the company will display its extensive range of material handling products through photographs and publicity material. It will also take the opportunity to show visitors its latest products in stockyard machinery, port terminals, bulk conveyor systems and all kinds of turnkey industrial installations, always using the latest-generation technology and guaranteeing the highest quality standards.

Indeed, the furniture sector plays an increasingly important role in Brazil each day. There are more than 14,000 companies and more than 240,000 employees in this sector. Brazil is one of the eight leading furniture exporters in the world. FIMMA is considered to be the industry’s main trade fair with opportunities for the three Americas: Latin, Central and North. This year, the organisation expects to receive 38,000 visitors from more than 40 countries(more info at http://www.fimma.com.br)

TAIM CADE’s presence at the fair is brought about by the sector’s growth and the company’s experience in this field. Over recent years, it has cooperated with the leading groups in the sector. In 2008 it undertook a turnkey project for the company BERNECK S.A. This highly-acclaimed company produces and markets high-end wood panels and products. BERNECK was set up more than 50 years ago and is based in Araucaria, Paraná (Brazil). The project consists of a belt conveyor system 1,350 m long, 42 to 48 inches wide. It was designed with different objectives in mind: to carry out transport, silo storage and supply for the MDF panel factory. The project involved transportation to treat the wood and feeding the energy-generating boiler by using the biomass produced with the wood waste.

TAIM CADE is currently working on a similar project for the MASISA DO BRASIL Group. This company leads the market in Latin America in the production and marketing of wooden panels for indoor furniture and architecture. The installation, which is currently in the assembly phase, consists of a conveyor system approximately 1,500 m long, 42 to 60 inches wide and with 250 tons of metal structure. In this case, the material transported are MDP (medium density) panels. The installation includes a 4-m wide passage fitted with a 120 m moving conveyor system in two 60 m spans.
